§ 2-221. General duties.

It shall be the duty of the city collector to collect and receive all taxes, fees, assessments, and other charges and debts due the city and for which no other city officer is designated as the collector or recipient; and he shall turn over all money so collected and received by him to the city treasurer periodically not less than once each week.
