§ 118-123. Powers and duties.

  • (a)

    The construction, acquisition, improvement, equipment, custody, operation, maintenance and administration of all works for the collection, treatment or disposal of sewage within the city and in such other areas as may be within the jurisdiction of the sanitary board which shall be acquired, constructed, operated or maintained by the sanitary board, the employment of all engineers, architects, inspectors, superintendents, manager, collectors, attorneys and other employees in the judgment of the board necessary to the execution of its powers and duties, and the collection of all revenues from the works acquired, constructed, operated or maintained by it, shall be under the supervision and control of the board.

    (b)

    In addition to the authority and powers enumerated in this section, the sanitary board shall be invested with all other powers and authorities provided for such boards by W. Va. Code ch. 16, art. 13 (W. Va. Code § 16-13-1 et seq.).
